#Hashtag
Are hashtags still relevant in 2023? I think # are semi relevant in today's social media society. In my social media world, hashtags are not relevant, but i really only use one social media platform. The platform I use is Instagram, I hardly ever see a hashtag on Instagram. However, I do know that hashtags are used more on other social media platforms like Tik Tok and Twitter. On Tik Tok and Twitter, I think hashtags are used to make some start trending. The bottom line is that I am not in the demographic to give the best answer to say whether hashtags are still relevant.
I am not sure about other social media trends have come and gone, but I do think social media platforms come and goes. For example, I do not think Facebook has lost a lot of steam and is not in the top 4 of social media platforms. To me, in no particular order, I think the top 4 social media platforms are: Instagram, Tik Tok, X, and Snapchat.
Social media has showed me not to take things I see on social media too serious. Because you never know what is real with all the filters and people faking who they are.

I agree with you. Hashtags aren't as popular as they used to be. I do see them on Tik Tok a lot. But not on Instagram. The only time I see hashtags on instagram is if there's a movement or special event going on. Such as the Black Lives Matter movement where there was a day dedicated to Black people called #BlackoutTuesday or something like that. It was where people posted a dark photo and put that hashtag^. Other than that you are right. They aren't as common anymore. - Emily F.
